La Villa Boutique Hotel
This gorgeous boutique hotel is a quiet and stylish escape close to the centre of Osu. Another eight rooms have recently been added to the complex, including two apartments. The hotel itself is an immediately relaxing place, with its modest plant-fringed pool overlooked by a high terrace, making it perfect for parties and events – and a great place to spend a lazy Sunday too (shhhh). The whole place basks in a classy European ambience and feels genuinely stylish: even the rate card comes in the form of a tiny brown scroll tied with string, and while the prices may seem high, they’re often cheaper than the big hotels. There’s the possibility of negotiating on the price a bit, especially over stays of a few days. Bedrooms have large beds and muted tones of chocolate and cream, and the whole place couldn’t be more inviting. The overall appeal is topped off by an onsite Italian restaurant, Soprano, open 6am-11.30pm. It’s cosy, welcoming and has a menu brimming with classic poolside Mediterranean favourites.
