Time Out says

Kitchen by Mike is back

The beloved Roseberry restaurant is due to open in its latest incarnation at the new City View precinct of Sydney airport in late 2016.

So does this mean that eating at Sydney airport is about to get amazing? We reckon so. Before it closed last year, Kitchen by Mike was known for its canteen-like vibe, where staff served you whatever you fancied from the array of dishes at the counter. Think tender roast chicken pieces piled high on boards; fresh slaws and house-fermented veggies, not to mention their killer pizzas and beautiful sourdough. And have we talked about the cakes?

It’s been designed by Aussie architect Mike McCann of Dreamtime Australia Design, who also designed Mr Wong, Felix and Grain, so it’s due to be a pretty kickass fit out as well.

The airport will also play host to the first ever burger outfit by Vue de Monde's Shannon Bennet, 'Benny Burgers', and an Italian style eatery from celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck (the first of its kind in Australia).

All you need to do now is sort out a flight so you can eat there.
